Whiteface Mountain is the fifth-highest mountain in the U.S. state of New York, and one of the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains.

During the winter, the snow capped mountains is all that surround you with a promising adventure in the far distance. In the Whiteface Mountain region, there are lots of activities that you can engage in to make your stay here count. It is in the middle of the Adirondacks and provides all year round thrilling adventures. There are plenty of lodges that you can relax as you plan the next day.

The best time to visit the Whiteface Mountain region is during the months of May to August during the warm weather meaning you can enjoy the clear view of the mountains. For the ski lovers, the best time is August where a lot of activities awaits you.

Generally known for its skiing events and competitions, it is also advisable to pass to these other counties for more adventure.

Major Attractions

Whiteface Mountain If you take 10 minutes bicycle rides in the areas surrounding the mountain, you will not miss the iconic castle. You can plan a visit during winter and have fun while snowboarding and skiing. There are marked trails that are suitable for both experienced and newbie hikers.

The Waterways The nearby Hudson river provides rapids that you can take a raft and explore the area on the fast flowing water. It also has the perfect fishing spot in the Ausable River area.

The North Pole There is a village set up right where the north pole passes through, it is open from the months of June to December. There is one of the oldest theme parks in the USA known as Santa's workshop which may be worth your visit.

Hiking The hiking or climbing trails are open throughout the year, the trail has an amazing view of Whiteface Mountain and the overlooking Adirondacks scenery.

Fishing Many rivers that flow in the region provide great fishing spots. Get training on how to fish from the professional guides. You can take part in the Ausable Two Fly Challenge, a two-day fishing challenge on the Ausable river.
