Catskill Mountain Country Store offers a mix of apparel, toys, bath products, games, and more at their two locations, in Windham and Tannersville. Don’t forget to try their homemade jellies, candies, and dressings!

Does someone in your family have a sweet tooth? Head to Life by Chocolate in Greenville for delectable chocolate confections.

Antique collectors rejoice! The region is home to several antique shops, including Hodge Podge Shop in Leeds and Coxsackie Antiques Center in West Coxsackie. 

Celebrate the season at a small-town holiday event.

Christmas by the River is a day of fun—including breakfast with Santa, local craft vendors, horse and carriage rides, and a holiday concert—on December 1 starting at 10 a.m. at various locations throughout downtown Coxsackie.

The Christmas Party at the Mountain Brauhaus in Round Top, December 7, starts with an hors d’oeuvre hour at 5 p.m., followed by dinner, and music by the Cabaret Duo—festive attire is encouraged. Call in advance to make reservations.

The Nutcracker, featuring local children and adults will be held December 13–15 at the Orpheum Film and Performing Arts Center in Tannersville. The production is presented by Catskill Mountain Foundation, in collaboration with former ballerina Victoria Rinaldi, choreographer Margo Sappington, and Petrov Ballet Artistic Director Eugene Petrov. Ticket prices vary.
