The magic of Ice Castles is something you have to see this winter in beautiful Lake George, the sixth location in the United States, joining Wisconsin, Minnesota, Utah, New Hampshire and Colorado. Schedule to open in Festival Commons in Lake George in January 2022, dependent on weather conditions. Each castle is built by hand with a daily process of growing 5,000-12,000 icicles that are harvested by hand and individually sculpted into existing ice formation. Each castle is said to be around 1 acre in size and consists of more than 25 million pounds of ice. The castles include breathtaking LED-lit lighting, ice-carved tunnels, slides, fountains and much more. Each castle site is located next to a natural water source bringing the ice back to its natural resource in the spring. This new and exciting attraction complements the popular Lake George Winter Carnival and the Lake George Winterfest. Book your tickets early! For more information, visit www.visitlakegeorge.com
