Visit Binghamton - A Winter Wonderland

Greater Binghamton is a proud community with a rich history of industrial ingenuity and creativity. Built by historic innovators and fueled by a new class of creative visionaries, Broome County is filled with unique stories and experiences to be explored.  We invite visitors to “Be Part of Our Story” by immersing themselves in our past and diving into the revitalization that makes our community a must-see destination especially in the winter!

Winter is bringing some wonderfully reimagined events that can be enjoyed safely.

In 2019 Animal Adventure Park unveiled Jungle Bells at the park featuring over 100,000 lights for visitors to enjoy.  This year, they are going “Bigger, Better and Brighter” with over 500,000 lights to warm a winter night.  From November 12 through January 3 the park will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Thursday night will be drive through only events.

And one thing you have to see are the countless memory making photo opportunities! They have added almost a dozen different photo opportunities around the park and in Santa’s workshop that will keep your camera in hand throughout your visit!  (Drive thru is Thursdays only, $20/vehicle. Walk thru Friday – Sunday at a low rate of $10.00/guest.)

We are also bringing back a drive-though experience at Otsiningo Park. The Broome County Festival of Lights will be open from November 20th through January 10th.  Cars will be able to make their way through Otsiningo Park to view several different light displays. The event will also feature several different specialty nights including a food bank donation night, fireworks and hot air balloon night glows. The event will run from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 5:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. (Admission is $15 per car. All veterans will receive free admission with proper identification.)

Outdoor enthusiasts will love our parks for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. Then grab a hot cocoa at one of our local coffee shops to warm yourself up.  We also have amazing restaurants with flavors to make your taste buds sing.  You can also discover a wonderful craft beverage scene.

So for a warm and wonderful winter, please come experience it for yourself and Be Part of Our Story. or call (800) 836-6740.
