Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest marks the start of fall. By this time there is an automatic craving for beer and pretzels. From craft breweries to local pubs to the streets, there are events for everyone. This weeklong festival takes place in many venues including Adirondack Pub & Brewery, Great Escape and on Canada Street. Live events are happening all over Lake George village.

After Oktoberfest Comes Fright Fest

As Halloween nears, Six Flags gears up for their Six Flags Great Escape & Hurricane Harbor's annual Fright Fest. The month long event has thrills and activities that the kids will love. At 5pm when the sun is preparing to rest, North Country’s scariest Halloween celebration comes to life. Be prepared to be spooked. Not for the faint hearted.

Taste Of North Country Food Festival

Like bears it’s time to stock up on some of the tastiest food to keep you warm in the winter months. Local restaurants in the Lake George area come together to to put out a show that’s bigger and better than the previous years. Chefs appeals to all millennials, elderly and kids alike to sample their fare, at this fall event. Get your coupons to enjoy the food and the live events including cooking demos.

World’s Largest Garage Sale

A flea market and craft fair come together at Warrensburg. Over 500 vendors from across the United States bring antiques, children’s games, furniture, memorabilia and clothing to make this event a year or year success. 

This Lake George fall event also has live music and a food market at the event.

October 5th and 6th, 2019

Adirondack Film Festival

Choose from drama, documentaries, comedy, horror where 130 films will be screened in the genre of your choice. Theaters in downtown Glen Falls play host to the film festival. Check out the schedules at The Charles R. Wood Theater, Crandall Public Library, The Park Theater, and the Queensbury Hotel.

There will also be panel discussions, parties, and a free family series. 

In many languages, the Adirondack Film Festival headliners include Greener Grass, Badhaai Ho, Extra Ordinary, Love Vincent: The Impossible Dream, The Peanut Butter Falcon, and Pretenders.
