Platform is the Parrish Art Museums open-ended invitation to a single artist to consider the entire Museum as a potential site for works that transcend disciplinary boundaries, encouraging new ways to experience art, architecture, and the landscape. This year, Platform features internationally-renowned artist Barthélémy Toguo whose multi-disciplinary work–painting, performance, installation, and video–often addresses migration, mobility, colonialism, race, and the relationship between the global north and south. Toguos project inaugurates a new collaboration between the Parrish and the Watermill Center, Water Mill, New York. He will participate in an Inga Maren Otto Fellowship for visual artists, in residence at Watermill from May 30June 22. His exhibition will be on view at the Parrish following the residency.
