The good season starts come fall. Syracuse has a lot of activities this fall. Halloween, sales, harvest, Thanksgiving and so much more. This list recommends all the things to do with friends and family, Upstate New York, in Syracuse.

Apple Picking

It’s apple season. Visit the LaFayette Apple Festival for fun with the whole family. In its 44th year, the festival is packed with music, food, crafts, gorgeous fall colors and of course, delicious apples. The festival is at LaFayette Fairgrounds on 8 and 9 October. Get Lost In A Corn Maze

Visit the corn mazes around Syracuse this fall. Abbott Farms is one such maze and is open all October. Another farm to visit is Critz Farms and the corn maze is open from September 12 to 25 October.

Fall Foliage Rides

The best part about fall are the colors and what better way to experience this but with a train ride. Just one hour from Syracuse departs the Fall Foliage Express. The Empire State Express leaves from Sodus and is 90 minutes of scenic beauty.

Wine Tours

In fall, the grape harvest is in full swing and there are lots of vineyard tours and wine tastings to enjoy. CNY Tours offers tours with Syracuse being a pick-up point to visit many wineries in the state.

Pumpkin Patches

The Hollow pumpkin patch and Cicero pumpkin patch are just some of the pumpkin patches in Syracuse to enjoy this fall. What’s good after all the pumpkin chunkin’? Lots of pumpkin pie.
