Grand Central Terminal Official Tour.
Replacing two previous railroad stations, the current landmark Grand Central Terminal opened in 1913. The construction of the terminal spurred an entire real estate boom with creations of many famous hotels and landmarks such as the Chrysler Building – directly across the street. After an attempt to tear down the terminal, Jacqueline Kennedy rallied to its defense in 1968, saving the terminal from an untimely death that the Pennsylvania Station experienced. The extensive restoration includes many new shopping options as well as a fully stocked food court in the lower level.
The Grand Central Terminal Tour is the OFFICIAL tour of the Grand Central. The one hour self guided audio tours take visitors across the many historic points. Included in the tour is the famous Whispering Gallery, the famous astronomic ceiling, the Biltmore room, the iconic information clock, and many other historical points. We're the perfect spot for that "something else to do" in NY problem that's just blocks from Times Square and the Theater District. Handicapped accessible. Foodcourt available.
