Long Island's favorite son, Billy Joel will take the stage for the New Coliseum's grand opening night on April 5, 2017. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's first album came out just a few months after Nassau Coliseum opened in 1972, and over the next four decades he headlined 32 shows, including a record nine sold-out concerts in 1998. Only Billy Joel could bring down the curtain on the Coliseum's first life, as he did with an epic 34-song, three-hour-and-20-minute show on August 4, 2015. Another classic concert is coming next spring. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 14.
