Brooklyn's Chinese New Year Parade

Head to Sunset Park, NY’s “other” Chinatown, and join the Brooklyn Chinese-American Association in celebrating the Lunar New Year – The year of the Rooster. With a Chinese New Year parade in Brooklyn, free cultural performances for kids and adults, and firecrackers at 11am. Parade starts at Eighth Avenue and 50th Street.

Celebrate Chinese New Year in Sunset Park, NY’s “other” Chinatown, with a parade and free performances. A fun family outing whatever your ethnicity, Chinese New Year events in Sunset Park are organized by the Brooklyn Chinese-American Association, a community service organization founded in 1987.

Noon to 1 p.m.: Parade starts at Eighth Avenue and 50th Street.

It’s preceded by appearances from community luminaries, cultural performances for kids and adults, and firecrackers at 11am.
