Cannonball Crush Races Through More of Fort Henry Than Ever Before!

Kingston, Ontario – The St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) is excited to welcome Cannonball Crush back to Fort Henry on Saturday, June 10, 2023. This year, Cannonball Crush racers will experience more of the race’s historic backdrop with five new obstacles and a revamped course that runs through more of the Fort than ever before.

Cannonball Crush is an exciting and limit-testing 5 km race with more than 15 formidable obstacles which take strength, determination, and team spirit to overcome. Only those who crush these challenges and cross the finish line can claim to have conquered the Fort!

Designed for 18+ racers of all fitness levels, the race will take place Saturday, June 10, 2023, in advance of YGK Craft Beer Fest, where Cannonball Crush vanquishers receive complimentary admission and fast-lane access as part of their registration. Racers can compete alone or in teams, facing this year’s new obstacles and returning favorites, such as the giant Slip ‘n Slide and the Cannonball Carry.

For those who are eager to crush this uphill battle, registration opens online today, February 15, with discounted early-bird pricing in effect until March 28, 2023. Competitors are encouraged to register early to guarantee their spot. Regular pricing runs March 29 to June 2, 2023, and registration will not be available on the day of the event.

About Fort Henry

Fort Henry was built between 1832 and 1837, designed as the key site in a network of fortifications for the defense of the Rideau Canal and the Kingston harbor. British soldiers were garrisoned there until 1870, followed by Canadian troops until 1891. In 1936, the Fort underwent restoration and opened as a living history museum in 1938.
