The art of cheesemaking dates back thousands of years! This introductory, hands-on class will guide you through this rich history and teach you the science behind your curds and whey. Students will practice making two types of soft cheese and leave with samples, recipes, and clear instructions to confidently begin making cheese in their own kitchens.
Instructor Carol Johnson is a NYC based cook and cheese professional. She currently uses her cheesemaking experience to support Whole Foods Market cheese departments across the country and teaches classes at Murray's Cheese in the West Village.
The Adult Education Program at Queens Farm is intended for individuals 18 years of age and older.
