Discovering Snowflakes with Pfeiffer Nature Center

It is said that everybody has a double out there in the world somewhere.  But is this true for snowflakes? Snowflakes are created when ice crystals stick together and float to the ground from the sky.  As each snowflake falls, it passes through a variety of temperatures and moisture levels.  These differences in the air allow the snowflake to take shape.  But how many shapes?
Come learn the answer as naturalist, Barb Busack, shares her knowledge of these beautiful ice forms.  A craft will follow the presentation, making this program great for kids!

This event will be held at The Portville Free Library, 1 North Main Street, Portville, New York 14770.  Fee:  Free for members, $5 for non-members and free for children 13 and under.  Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
