Drawing the Basic Bird at Pfeiffer Nature Center

Join Pfeiffer Nature Center volunteer and renowned local artist Jennifer Miller as she describes and demonstrates the basics of drawing birds! Jennifer will explore the basic shapes and anatomy of birds, while explaining how one can break them down into basic forms, and investigating what is really going on under all those feathers, as an artist.

While this program is aimed at those wishing to learn how to draw birds, anyone may attend, and participants are welcome to draw along, take notes, or just sit back and watch how a bird is “put together”. If you’d like to draw along, be sure to bring your favorite drawing tool(s) and some paper or a sketchbook. This program is best suited for children ages 10 and up.

This event will be held at The Portville Free Library, 1 North Main Street, Portville, New York 14770. Fee: $5 for members, $10 for non-members and free for children 13 and under. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required and space is limited. Register by 4 PM, Thursday, January 10th.
