The predominate yellow flower is Goldenrod…not one, but up to fifteen different species of Goldenrod in our area. They contribute to the rich summer ecosystem. Take a walk with Pfeiffer Nature Center and explore this important and beautiful plant. The walk will include an introduction to basic botanical terms, how to use a plant identification key, hands-on experience identifying several species of Goldenrods, and a bit of fact, folklore, and fiction about this summertime beauty.
