Holiday Decor at Lyndhurst—A Very Duchess Holiday Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays November 27th through December 27th
Described as one of the ten best decorated historic mansions by USA Today, Lyndhurst goes all out during the holidays with “A Very Duchess Holiday.” Lyndhurst is elaborately hung with an over-the-top display of holiday ornaments but we also pay homage to a real French princess and duchess, Anna Gould, the Duchess of Talleyrand, the last owner of Lyndhurst. Our storage rooms are chock-a-block with children’s toys, holiday dishes, silver, jewels and clothes that belonged to the Duchess. For the last month of the year, we bring these out and create vignettes of holiday presents using the many possessions of Anna and the Gould family. This is a once-a-year opportunity to see many of the glittering possessions that otherwise don’t come to light.
Please note, advance online ticket purchases are recommended. Discounts, including membership discounts, are not honored for special holiday programs. Tours may be added throughout the day depending on demand. Click here to purchase advance tickets.
