#KidsCorner | Carnival, scavenger hunt, first blooms, and bricks

Celebrate spring at the Children’s Carnival at the Queens County Farm Museum on April 1 and 2 from 11 am to 6 pm. The whole family will enjoy carnival rides, games, live entertainment, a petting zoo, pony rides, hay rides and much more. Admission is $15 per person with additional fees for various activities.

Catch the first blooms of spring at Queens Botanical Garden on April 1 for story time and crafts from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. Children will listen to a reading of Bonnie Worth’s I Can Name 50 Trees Today!: All About Trees and create a leaf ID book. Free with admission.

Grab your gardening gloves and volunteer for Flushing Meadows Corona Park Stewardship Spring Planting Day on April 2 from 10 am to 2 pm. This is a great opportunity to take part in community service as a family. Open to adults and teenagers. Registration required here or call 718.760.6561.

Join the Urban Park Rangers for a free Nature Scavenger Hunt in Kissena Park on April 2 from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Work as a team with your family to discover hidden treasures in nature and learn about all this Flushing park has to offer.
