A signature member of the National Watercolor Society and Watercolor USA Honor Society, Valerie Larsen has received many awards and has been accepted for many national watercolor shows, besides being published in five editions of Splash, a watercolor book. Her paintings portray the uniqueness of people and the things they do and are also interpretations of her experiences.
Kathy Bolin began painting after raising her three sons, and currently paints plein air landscapes and portraits/ figures. In her portraits she seeks a connection with the viewer by eliciting an emotional response. She has received many awards for her paintings.
Leslie Heen began her art career in fashion illustration and architectural renderings. After retiring from commercial work and modeling she began her study of fine art painting in watercolor and oil. Leslie enjoys expressing her impressions of life images.
For Kevin Feary, his art has been a journey through many workshops, painting organizations and competitions, receiving numerous awards along the way. Both landscape and portrait/ figures are his interests. He attempts to convey his feelings through paint on canvas.
Marc Alan Freedman began his professional career by working in wood as a sculptor. His initial pieces were hand carved bowls and trays. His work has evolved into figurative pieces. He has participated in many exhibits and shows throughout the east
The public reception for this exhibit will be held Friday October 13, from 5:00 to 7:00PM in the Flick Gallery.
