Outdoor recreational and environmental ecucation progre=ams are plenitful, mnany geared for families and mostly free. Formely a part of the Verplanck family estate, which also included the Mount Gulian Historic Site in Beacon, a Colonial homestead also open to visitors. Trails and grounds are open to all from sunrise to sunset for hiking and nature enjoyment. Home of the Verplanck Garden Club. Office hours: weekdays, 8:45am-4:30pm and Saturdays, 9:30am-4:30pm.
