Parlor music concert : a musical journey through the 19th centur

For the seventh annual Parlor Music Concert, the Seward House Museum is pleased to welcome soprano soloist Cecile Saine. From the magnificent setting of the Museum’s Drawing Room, and enhanced by its 1872 Steinway piano, Saine’s tour-de-force performance will transport listeners across the musical landscape of the 19th century. All are welcome to join her for a wine and dessert reception after the concert.

Saine has delighted audiences across the country with what is described as her “brilliant soprano” in opera, oratorio, and classic theater. She is a faculty member at the Eastman School of Music, where students from her voice studio have launched careers on Broadway and performance halls across world. Saine also performs with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. Saine’s accompanist on the piano is Howard Spindler. A long-time chairperson of the Piano Department at Eastman, Spindler is an accomplished chamber musician and pianist.

Admission is $20 for museum members, $25 for the general public. Space is limited. Reservations are required. A reception with the artists follows the performance.
