Turning eight, Queens World Film Festival is set to return to the Museum of the Moving Image and the Zukor Screening Room at Kaufman Astoria Studios. From March 15 to 25, 2018 experience over 185 exciting, topical, bold, and entertaining features and shorts including narratives, documentaries, LGBTQ and animated films. Queens World Film Festival is dedicated to creating worthwhile experiences for participating filmmakers and guests with some signature elements: dynamic thematic programming, hosted screening events, engaging talk-backs, relevant networking opportunities and maximum access to filmmakers. The roster includes international premiers, special events, parties and special guests.
The program contains thematic Blocks, grouping films together to create specific impact rather than running a full schedule of films one after the other. Each Block has its own theme, a host and targeted marketing so that we can build communities around each BLOCK as its own event. Block categories include Opening Night with an Emotional Punch: a taste of what’s to come with a sampler of festival films; Young and Out: five short films about being young and coming out; Local Express: 8 films from the 5 boroughs; Discovery: two honest looks at the passage to adulthood, and many more!
Queens World Film Festival Tickets and Passes QWFF offers a two-tier pricing option for access to screenings.
