Event Description

Somewhere WAY Over the Rainbow is a mobile, art installation by Ivy Stevens-Gupta and will be exhibited at The Gallery In The Valley, 79 Main Street, Geneseo, NY, from September 1st until September 30th, 2023. Stevens-Gupta received a grant from The New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) with support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature to complete the project.  The  installation focuses on science, technology, engineering, ART and mathematics (STEAM) and was formerly at the Sciencenter in Ithaca, NY. It welcomes people with all abilities and has braille, 3D printer tactile features, scratch and sniff, mazes, puzzles, word search, bioluminescent creatures, 192 different colors, hidden messages, color shifting paint, an interactive webpage, and is all about color science.

Meet the artist at the opening reception on September 1st from 5-7pm at The Gallery In the Valley.

Hours: Closed Monday & Tuesday. Open Wednesday-Friday 3-7pm and Saturday & Sunday 10am-4pm.
