Join your friends and neighbors for “A Steamer Trip on Lake Ontario” on Tuesday, January 17, 7:00 PM at the Fairport Public Library in The Village Landing.
Tom Brewer will present a talk accompanied by slides about the history of the Ontario Car Ferry Co., Ltd. which operated two ships carrying railroad cars and passengers to and from Canada from 1907 until 1950. They were known locally as the “Cobourg Boats.”
Mr. Brewer grew up and still lives in Charlotte and is a member of the Charlotte/Genesee Lighthouse Historical Society, Toronto Marine Historical Society and the New York Museum of Transportation.
