Craft Beer Festival Popping Up in April
Greene County is experiencing a renaissance in the arts and food scene. This year, Mama's Boy Pizzeria in Tannersville opened, helmed by restauranteur Michael Koegel who owns the popular Mama's Boy Burgers just across the street. In neighboring Catskill, new addition Hilo Café on Main Street offers small plates, draft beers from Hudson Valley breweries, and coffee from Brooklyn's Café Grumpy. The café also provides dedicated gallery and performance space for local artists.
TAP NY started out 20 years ago with a couple hundred beer fanatics and a handful of craft brewers at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, and has grown into the largest craft beer and food event in New York State. Craft brewing is alive and growing bigger than ever in New York State. The popularity of craft brewing has led to fuller bodied, flavorful brews featuring rich colors, bold flavors, and imaginative ingredients. People ask for it, and the brewers are answering. Many new craft breweries are opening every year, and we're both happy and proud to welcome them aboard.
