Event Description

Bees are easily the most recognizable pollinators, but did you know that the Thousand Islands is home to many other pollinators?

Embark on an afterschool adventure along the nature trails at Otter Creek Preserve as we learn about the numerous insects and animals that are responsible for pollination in New York.

Discover how some species have adaptations for special plants and learn how others make liquid gold with the nectar they collect.

We will meet at 3:30pm at our Otter Creek Preserve and Macsherry Trail main parking area: Map and Directions

Please register by emailing treks@tilandtrust.org, by calling the TILT office at 315-686-5345, or by signing up on the TILT website at www.tilandtrust.org.

Wild Wednesday’s afterschool programs are offered the last Wednesday of the month through May 2023. These free programs are made possible by the support of the Ferguson Foundation, the Fresh Sound Foundation, and the RBC Foundation – USA. Each month features a fun, nature-based learning activity at a different TILT Preserve or partner location. Get outdoors and get WILD with TILT afterschool!
