In the battle of COVID 19, self-isolation or social distancing is a tactic. In the most vibrant city in the world, that’s going to be a tough ask. But while we all try to stay safe, doesn’t mean we need to miss out on some New York experiences. Take a virtual tour of some of these sites to get through these times.

The port where 12 million people entered to find new hope is a great place to start when we are all looking for renewed hope to get us through this pandemic. Most days, a trip to Ellis Island might sound too tedious, but a virtual tour of the space and museum sounds very doable for all New Yorkers.

The spiral staircase may be the most memorable part of the museum, but maybe a virtual tour will allow you more time to connect with the exhibits from different eras.

The National Museum of Natural History

This has got to be one of the most fascinating museums for kids and adults alike. So when you are social distancing with kids at home, this is a good way to keep them entertained. The virtual tour offers you views of permanent exhibits, current exhibits, and even past exhibits.

Watch the animals in the National Zoo

It’s not the same as going to the zoo but you still get to watch the animals on live webcam. Choose an animal to watch, just like you would at the zoo. But from the comfort of your couch.
